Performance Optimization

One of the main criticalities of forecast/estimating activities is the lack of reference data to carry out benchmarks and risk assessments. To tackle this issue it is recommended to measure the performance of any project during its execution in order to understand possibilities for improvement but also create dataset useful for future developments.
kwantis has a strong expertise in data modeling and statistics to measure the performance of any kind of project, defining tailored KPI / KRI and provide tangible optimization strategies.

  • Lack of information from offset projects limits risk assessment / planning accuracy.
  • Huge amount of data coming from equipment sensor are potentially valuable, however arduous to manage and to analyze.
  • Poor impartial indicators for project performance / contractors performance.
  • Need to measure the risk exposure of the project.
  • Compare objectively different technologies or projects from a portfolio.

  • Large expertise in statistical fitting for distribution definition.
  • Large experience in definition of KPI / KRI for different type of industries.
  • Databases modeling and management (experience with different RDBMS).
  • Multi-year experience in drilling and completion performance evaluation (proprietary id3 software release in 2016).
  • Large expertise on the use of different business intelligence tools for data visualization and dashboard creation (Qlik, Tableau, Spotfire).
  • Expertise in predictive analyses based on data management.

  • id3 software – ready-to-use solution to manage and analyze drilling data coming from different sources (rig sensors and reporting).
  • Project data management (workflow definition, database design, interface construction, dashboards...).
  • WITSML data management: data download, ETL, database population.
  • Creation of tailored KPI / KRI.
  • Enhancement of probabilistic simulation, fitting the input variables on past data.
