kwantis completed the design and development of an integrated solution to manage all real time data from the field. The software, implemented for a major energy player, allows the collection, preparation and distribution of the data within the entire organization, granting accessibility and auditability. From a technical point of view, the system is grounded on the common standards in the O&G field such as WITSML 1.4/2.0 and LAS. The solution is built on two core processes: ingestion and publication. On the one hand, all incoming data is converted in a common format. On the other hand, published objects are always up-to-date as data keeps coming during operations. This is a prerequisite to turn data into an asset as it is possible to build on these features to: implement a sound data governance and enable data transmission with standardized, always-aligned, objects on the same WITSML server.
