The opportunity

We are currently looking for a data scientist to join our Digital Lab team mainly involved in developing our flagship product id3 (https://id3.kwantis.com/). You will actively partner with our developers, consultants, and clients to design and develop new models, solutions and pipelines to improve and extend the software.

We work with the following languages and tools: Python, SQL and NoSQL databases, AWS cloud, Jenkins and Azure pipelines.

Your primary responsibilities

  • Design and implement novel use cases for ML inference over real-time constraints.
  • Apply statistical and mathematical modelling to develop new predictive or explanatory models to be integrated in id3.
  • Manage deployment of models in production and their maintenance.
  • Prepare technical documentation/presentation for projects (in English).

The ideal candidate:

  • Has experience on Python.
  • Has experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Has an in-depth knowledge of statistics and mathematical models behind machine learning algorithms
  • Is familiar with version control tools like Git and can work comfortably in a team.
  • Is interested in learning and in new technologies.


Bonus points if:

  • Is familiar with Python libraries: TensorFlow, PyTorch, NumPy and pandas.
  • Has knowledge of NLP techniques or Timeseries modeling.
  • Has knowledge of MLOps Has knowledge of MLOps processes and tools (e.g. DVC, MLFlow).

You will get a permanent contract (“contratto a tempo indeterminato”) with the option to work remotely from anywhere in Italy. We are mainly working remotely but we try to go to the office, in the center of Milan, a couple of days per week. You will have monthly lunch coupons.
