In its latest Environmental Report, Kwantis outlines the progress of its sustainability efforts, noting measurable steps taken to reduce carbon emissions and encourage a more environmentally conscious workplace.
Emissions Performance
Kwantis reported per-employee emissions of 888.97 kg CO₂, positioning the company below typical office-based emission ranges observed across Europe. Based on available benchmarks – including national electricity emission factors from ISPRA and European studies on office energy use and commuting, per-employee emissions in office environments generally range between approximately 1,000 and 3,000 kg CO₂ per year, depending on energy sourcing, workplace practices, and hybrid work policies.
Driving Emission Reductions Through Smart Practices
These results were achieved through a combination of targeted initiatives. Kwantis continued to use 100% renewable electricity sourced entirely from renewables, promoted remote working, and reduced business travel by 37.88%. In parallel, the company encouraged energy-efficient behaviours across its offices. Altogether, these efforts led to a 10.19% year-on-year reduction in emissions per employee.
Next Steps
Building on its 2025 progress, Kwantis plans to further strengthen its sustainability efforts in everyday operations. Key priorities include improving resource efficiency, minimizing environmental impact within office processes, and maintaining transparency through consistent reporting. The company also aims to increase employee engagement and explore initiatives related to responsible waste management, supporting its long-term environmental objectives while sustaining its low emissions profile.
